Gun Club GoPro 2 test

We got a new toy, a GoPro HD 2! We just happened to be going to our gun club the day it arrived, and it just happened to be empty, so we could muck about with our new toy, and shoot guns, good times.

We actually swapped our old Contour+ camera in for this one. We were never that happy with the quality of the Contour, and the good people at DogCam Sport agreed to swap it out for a GoPro and refund us the difference. Good dog!

Guns P.O.V.

Using the same mount I built for the video of my foot walking around America, here are our hands shooting a series of progressively larger guns.

Watching the video, the journey you take will start at cute little Ruger .38 then you’ll wander past a Beretta .45. A Desert Eagle .50 will loom into view briefly, don’t be afraid, not yet. Oh look, a P90! My how fast you fire! OK, you know I said to not be afraid just now? Well now it’s time. The great big Barrett M82 .50 was, by any definition, a beast.

All this happened at the surprisingly friendly Get Some Guns and Ammo – just south of Salt Lake City, Utah. Shot on a Contour+.

Playtime

After driving through 17 states, and interviewing 15 people, it was time to let off some steam. And how better to do that than spend a few nights in Las Vegas and firing off 5 different types of machine gun? We also saw a comedy pet show featuring a dog that sits on a 10 foot high platform being balanced on a man’s head while catching balls being thrown to him from the man… it went on from there, it was of course a mind expanding experience.

Zombie Attack

We had a bit of an issue the other day with a horde of angry Zombies in the city, we had to fight our way through the brain thirsty losers and find our way to the helipad. Which was fun. We did all this with the aid of the board game cryptically named ‘ZOMBIES!!!‘ in our garage which we themed as a zombie strong hold for the night. This is the kind of thing everyone does on a Saturday night yeah? ok, we’re cool then.

Here’s the photographic evidence
