Just arrived in Woolacombe, Devon, and we have a great view of the sunset from our swanky apartment. So naturally we shot a time lapse of it, and will probably be shooting many more.

The Quick Draw Saloon at the last ever V&A Village Fete went down a storm, which had a lot to do with all the work that went it to making and running the thing by the guys and gals of Stuff Club (that, and the fact we were giving out shots of whiskey for 50p a go). I can gladly report that we were thoroughly badly behaved, and successfully encouraged others to do likewise. Some highlights include branding the word ‘LOSER’ over the face of a child, one of punters accidentally fall off the wagon after ten years of not touching a drop of the good stuff and comanding a baying mob to shout out obscene phrases until the wee hours while watching people try to draw naughty things (such as ‘syphilis‘).

Yey! My Lomo LC-A isn’r buggered. The last time I used it (about a year ago) it kept deciding not to open it’s little iris for me. So I left it in the cupboard. I kinda missed it, so I got it out again recently and ran a roll of film through it, picking up some “just take a photo of anything-damn-thing” shots along the way. The results of which are here. I plan on taking a load more casual shots like this (like back in the good ol’ pre mega-pixel days) and slowly adding to the set on Flickr. It really is a joy to use.

A short trip up north to visit a few haunted attractions afforded us a brief excursion to Blackpool. The weather was angry, the back streets derelict and bustling, the accomdation broken, the punters were drunk violent and bloody. I really can’t say how much we love Blackpool. After spending many childhood holidays in it’s fizzy glow, the horror that is Blackpool to the adult eyes only excites us more. It’s crumbling beauty and rotten fringes can not hide the heart of this undead seaside paradise. Well, that’s what I think anyway. There’s quite a lot of photos in the set from the Wax Works. It was our first visit, a truly Blackpoolian experience. Here’s the set.

So, we’re back in Blighty. Just spent that last 4 days tagging and titling all our photos on Flickr. The shoot for the film we were working on at Elstree Studios finished last weekend (we did the graphic design and helped with the set build), and we’ve just got all photos together of the final set build and shooting for you all to see. It all turned out looking quite splendid.

Another little test of the time-lapse controller. This time The Boob took us on a whirlwind tour from Collier Row, to Hainault then Romford and home. The dog track was kicking out in Romford, some slow traffic made for some good still moments in the time-lapse. Oh yeah, we were on a 3 seater speeder bike.
